Bluebird Festival at Black Hill Visitor Center

The following event was submitted by Black Hill Nature Center:

Black Hill Visitor Center is holding its annual Bluebird Festival on Sunday, May 20, from 1 to 4 p.m.

The event will be an afternoon of fascinating programs, exhibits and demonstrations all designed to enlighten visitors about, and champion the conservation of, the delightful bluebird.

Scheduled programs include instruction on how to build a bluebird nest box; landscaping to encourage bluebirds to your yard; and, a presentation of Quest for a Nest, a play by children for children. Visitors can also hike a portion of a Bluebird Trail, create bluebird-themed crafts, play games and listen to music.

The festival will be held rain or shine and takes place at the Black Hill Visitor Center, 20926 Lake Ridge Dr., Boyds, MD 20841. This a FREE event, all ages are welcome. Some programs require advanced registration. Register at www.ParkPASS.org.
