Dear Families and Friends of Seneca Valley High School,
On May 20th, 2012, the PTSA is looking to hold our annual After Prom Party from midnight to 5am. We are committed to providing our Prom-going Juniors and Seniors with a safe, supervised and fun-filled all-night celebration. Our most important goal is to protect our students from the deadly mix of alcohol, drugs and driving. This year we have decided to hold our event at 300 Shady Grove Bowling Lanes in an effort to increase attendance and give the kids something a bit different from years past.
It is because of generous donations that the PTSA can provide our Juniors and Seniors with this party at a minimal cost to our students. You may buy a ticket for $20 at the door with your student ID the night of the event if you choose NOT to attend the Prom or the price is included with your Prom ticket. Included in the cost is all-you-can bowl, shoes, food buffet, unlimited fountain drinks, casino tables, money machine, movies, music, lounge and various other arcade-style games. Transportation will be available for those students who need a ride.
HOWEVER, we have been able to provide this event in part through membership dues, fundraising events and generous donations from both our families and community. It is a never ending quest for funding. This year, it has been a struggle to get funding and without donations, we will be unable to hold the After Prom event. To that end, we are requesting that all families, regardless of your student's age, consider donating to our cause. We are asking for a donation of $20.12. We accept cash, check or credit card. Our organization is a non-profit 501(c)3 so all donations made are tax deductible. Cash/ check donations can be mailed to: Seneca Valley PTSA After Prom, 19401 Crystal Rock Drive Germantown, MD 20874. You can donate by credit card on the school's website at www.senecavalleyhighschool.com. The donate link is on the "News" page.
Why should you donate? To keep accidents, like last year's fatal car crash at RT 118 and Middlebrook Road the night of Cinco de Mayo, from happening. Please help us reach our goal for keeping every Seneca Valley student safe on Prom night.
