The Corporate Volunteer Council of Montgomery County presents the Third Annual Volunteering for Business Day on May 14th from 9:00 AM - 1:00PM at the Button Farm Living History Center home of the Menare Foundation.

Roll up your sleeves and get to work! You will be instrumental in providing much needed help to this historic venue located right in Montgomery County. This is a great FREE team building opportunity for your company! Bring along your MCPS student to earn Student Service Learning hours!

Help prepare soil for planting, plant seeds, stack wood, clear trails, create signs, build and paint benches and fences... there is something for everyone and every bit helps!

After completing one of these fulfilling projects, enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch generously donated by Smokey Glen Farms.

Meet and mingle with several non-profits on-site to discuss future projects or a long term relationship with your company!

Use only the directions below to find the farm as we are located within a 6,000 acre State Park system.

The Button Farm

Take I-495 to I-270 North (towards Frederick)

Follow I-270 North to Exit 15B (Rt. 118 South - Germantown)

Continue on Rt. 118 South for approximately 3.5 miles

Make a RIGHT onto BLACK ROCK ROAD
(Black Rock Road is the first street on your right AFTER the entrance to the South Germantown SoccerPlex. The sign for Black Rock Road is frequently missing. Look for a house on the corner that looks like a castle.)

Continue on Black Rock Road for 1.5 miles

The driveway entrance to the farm is on the RIGHT side of the road.

PLEASE CARPOOL! Parking is limited at Button Farm. 
There is a public parking lot located at the Germantown MARC Station about 4 miles from the farm.
