Marissa Swain Makes Dean's List at Eckerd College
ST. PETERSBURG, FL --- Marissa Swain of Germantown has been named to Eckerd College's Dean's List for the spring 2012 semester. The Dean's List is compiled following the fall and spring semesters and includes students who completed at least four courses with a grade point average of 3.75. Marissa is majoring in Marine Science.
Sean Camargo Makes Dean's List at Berklee College of Music
BOSTON --- Berklee College of Music announces that Sean Camargo of Germantown has earned placement on the Dean's List for the spring semester of the 2012 academic year. To be eligible for this honor, a full-time student must achieve a grade point average of 3.4 or above; a part-time student must achieve a grade point average of 3.6 or above.
Meghan Irving Earns BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design
SAVANNAH, GA --- Meghan Irving of Germantown graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Irving earned a BFA in Graphic Design.

Two Montgomery County Public Schools students were recently named as finalists in an art contest held during the 2011-12 school year, contest organizers announced last week.
Anika Seth and Timothy Chu — third graders at William B. Gibbs Elementary School last school year — were named finalists in the 2012 Wrecks of the World International Art Contest, sponsored by the JASON Project, the North American marine Environmental Protection Association and the U.S. Coast Guard.
To commemorate the centenary of Titanic’s maiden voyage and sinking, students were asked to create a poster focused on any historic or modern shipwreck or how to make shipping safer.
Organizers said finalists would receive a calendar with the artwork and a signed photograph and certificate from oceanographer and Titanic discoverer Dr. Robert Ballard.
