Scholarship winners, new MCPS appointments

 

Northwest High School student Daniel Vitelli is among the 13 recipients of the 2012 Minds In Motion Scholarship. The $1,000 scholarship is awarded to male and female student athletes, according to the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association. A luncheon is scheduled for Tuesday, June 5, in the Baltimore Ravens’ team locker room.

Benjamin Dorsey, a resident of Germantown, was named to the Spring 2012 Champlain College's Dean's List. Dorsey is majoring in Game Design.

Appointments

Montgomery County Board of Education announced the following appointments:

  • Kingsview Middle School principal Elizabeth L. Thomas has been appointed director of school performance, Office of School Support and Improvement
  • Northwest High School staff development teacher Karalee C. Turner-Little, was appointed executive assistant to the deputy superintendent, Office of School Support and Improvement
