Germantown Man Charged in Silver Spring Robbery

Robbery reported in 7-Eleven parking lot

 

A Germantown man has been charged following reports of an armed robbery outside a Silver Spring 7-Eleven.

Douglas I. Romero, 20, was charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and two counts of second-degree assault, according to Montgomery County Circuit Court records accessed by Patch.

According to Police, the charges stem from an alleged incident in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven on Amherst Ave.

Police alleged that around 4 a.m. Sept. 1., Romero and Joselito Ramos, a Gaithersburg man who faces similar charges, got into a fight with another man and took his wallet, court records state.

Public Defender’s office was listed as representing Romero and Ramos, 22.

Preliminary hearings were scheduled for Sept. 28.
