Germantown Man Wins Lottery Prize

Alas, his payout has fewer zeroes than Saturday night's big winner.

While Baltimore County is garnering attention for the sale of one of three winners in the $640 million Mega Millions Jackpot, a 26-year-old Germantown resident won $250,000 in Tuesday's drawing, the Maryland Lottery says.

The lottery says the unnamed IT consultant was drawn to the Mega Millions because of the rising jackpot and decided to buy the first lottery tickets he's ever purchased at the 7-Eleven at 19786 Crystal Rock Drive.

One of three tickets in Saturday night's record-breaking jackpot was sold at the 7-Eleven store in the 8000 block of Liberty Road in Milford Mill, The Baltimore Sun reported. Other winning tickets were sold in Illinois and Kansas.

Carole Everett, director of communications for the Maryland Lottery, told Huffington Post it was too early to know more about the ticket holder or whether other winning tickets had been sold.

The winning numbers were 2-4-23-38-46 and Mega Ball 23.
