Power Outages Increase in Montgomery County

In the early stages of storm, Pepco reports 2,500 outages in Montgomery County.

 

More than 2,500 Pepco customers were without power in Montgomery County, Pepco reported Monday afternoon.

Pepco's Storm Center website reported that the following ZIP codes were experiencing power outages as of about 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 29:

  • 20815: 655 customers without power
  • 20910: 450 customers without power
  • 20901: 61 customers without power
  • 20903: 503 customers without power
  • 20904: fewer than five customers without power
  • 20905: 14 customers without power
  • 20902: 119 customers without power
  • 20895, 20896: 30 customers without power
  • 20817: 18 customers without power
  • 20852: 35 customers without power
  • 20853: five customers without power
  • 20855: fewer than five customers without power
  • 20855: fewer than five customers without power
  • 20850: fewer than five customers without power
  • 20854: 682 customers without power
  • 20878: fewer than five customers without power
  • 20877, 20880: fewer than five customers without power

The dorecho earlier this summer took down most of the vulnerable trees and their branches. It was probably a blessing in disguise.
