And the best day care in Germantown is …. Peppertree Children’s Center.

Germantown Patch readers were polled on their favorite day care centers. Top vote getter Peppertree Children's Center landed 40 percent of the vote. There was a three-way tie for second — KinderCare Learning Center, Little People Daycare, and Potomac Valley Academy Daycare & Preschool each had 20 percent of the vote.

Honorable mentions went to Butler School and Butler Camp and Bright Horizons at the Department of Energy — day care centers that weren’t included in the poll, but talked up in the story’s comment section.

Turn out was considerably low. Only five readers participated in the poll by the time polls closed 9 a.m. Friday.
