Swaim-Staley to Leave Transportation Post
First woman to lead agency, she served in Duncan administration.
Beverley Swaim-Staley, the first woman to lead the Maryland Department of Transportation, is leaving the post, Patch editor Bryan P. Sears has reported.
Swaim-Staley served as budget director for former county executive Douglas Duncan before she was tapped to lead the transportation department.
The Gazette reported she has no immediate plans.
