Teen Charged in Nonfatal Shooting
The 16-year-old is charged with first-degree assault.
A teenager has been charged in the nonfatal, April shooting of a 20-year-old man in Germantown.
A 16-year-old male, of the 20000 block of Frederick Road, was charged with first-degree assault, Montgomery County Police spokeswoman Janelle Smith said Monday.
On the evening of April 11, police responded to reports of a shooting at Brandermill Drive and Drumcastle Terrace. A man was shot in the leg after a fight at a basketball court nearby, police told Patch.
After the shooting, the wounded 20-year-old allegedly beat up the suspected shooter. The shooting may have stemmed from a fight over a female, Patch has reported.
