Police: Cheerleaders Hide in Parking Lot to Evade Strange Man
GERMANTOWN — A man who allegedly approached and followed two Seneca Valley High School cheerleaders after school on Monday has sparked the suspicion of the Montgomery County Police Department. Police said a driver who unsuccessfully tried to strike up a conversation with the students continued to follow them as they walked to cheerleading practice. Cyclist Struck on Massachusetts Avenue Left 'Unconscious and Bleeding'
BETHESDA — Police are still looking for the driver of a minivan that struck a cyclist on Friday, driving off and leaving the woman unconscious and bleeding with injuries including a broken neck, broken back and broken nose. “As a Mom of two girls I still haven’t come to terms with the fact that I could have easily been killed in the flash of a second," Jodi Grant, 44, wrote in an email to Patch. August Sees Record Thefts from Autos
TAKOMA PARK — There were more thefts from autos in Takoma Park this past August (20 incidents in all) than there were in either 2011 or 2010 during the same time.
