UPDATE: Motorcycle-Van Collision on Frederick Road

Police: Five people involved are OK.

Five people sustained “non-life-threatening injuries” Sunday after a van and a motorcycle collided on Frederick Road, a police spokeswoman told Patch.

At about 4:15 p.m. Sunday, emergency personnel responded to Milestone Center for reports of a serious crash, .

Montgomery County Police Spokeswoman Lucille Bauer said a van traveling north on Frederick Road was making a left into the shopping center when it was struck by a motorcycle traveling south on Frederick Road.

Bauer said the force of the crash caused the van to overturn; the motorcycle rider was ejected from the bike.

The four people in the van and the bike rider were taken to the hospital. Bauer said that as of Sunday night, all five were listed with “non-life-threatening injuries.”

The crash temporarily closed a portion of Frederick Road between Henderson Corner and the site of the crash, Montgomery County Police reported on its news blog, MyMCPNews.com.
