Where to Get Free Flu Shots in Germantown

Germantown Health Center is offering free flu vaccines for Montgomery County residents

If you live in Montgomery County, you can get a flu vaccination for free.

Montgomery County Health and Human Services is offering free vaccination clinics at the Germantown Health Center on Middlebrook Road.

According to the county health department, this season's vaccine protects against an A/California/7/2009 (H1N1)-like virus; an A/Victoria/361/2011 (H3N2)-like virus; and a B/Wisconsin/1/2010-like virus.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says anyone 6 months or older should be vaccinated on a yearly basis and strongly urges vaccinations for children younger than 5 and adults who are in close contact with children younger than 5 or work in health care settings.

To make an appointment, please visit the county's online appointment booking system.

Seasonal Flu Vaccination Clinics will be offered at the Germantown Health Center, 12900 Middlebrook Road, on the following dates:

  • 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6. Flu shots only.
  • 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13. Flu shots only.
  • 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20. Flu shots only.

County officials said preservative-free shots would not be available at county clinics this year. FluMist clinics were offered in November.
