The Germantown Historical Society  was founded in 1990. It provides resources concerning local history. They also host two annual programs on local history, in which they invite guest speakers. They also have an archive of old editions of the Gazette and historical papers of Germantown organizations. The organization also sponsors the Germantown Flea Markets.
