Miracle On 34th Street - Shows: Dec 6th -8th

Seneca Valley High School, 19401 Crystal Rock Dr, Germantown, MD | Get Directions »
$5.00

Seneca Valley High School presents "Miracle on 34th Street" on December 6, 7 & 8.  Over 50 students bring the favorite holiday film to the stage with a story of love, faith, and the true meaning of the holiday spirit.  When Doris Walker (Sydney Tunstall) needs a Santa to fill in for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Kris Kringle (Jacob Lucas) fits the bill perfectly - almost too perfectly.  He believes he is Santa Clause.  When Kris is accused of insanity, Doris's neighbor and dear friend Fred Gayley (Andrew Saundry) must take the case to defend not only Kris, but the spirit of giving and magic of faith.  Appropriate for all ages, this show rings with carols and the message that "faith is believing in things ...when common sense tells you not to" - an apt message for all faiths and lifestyles. In the spirit of the show, Seneca Valley Thespian Honors Society and Key Club are collaborating on a coat drive to benefit the Rockville Woman's Center.  Discounted tickets are available to anyone donating new or gently-used coats, hats, gloves, scarves, sweaters, and/or long johns.  Hygiene products and canned food will also be accepted.  See SVHSdrama.yolasite.com for more information.Show Times - December 6 & 7 @ 7pm and December 8 at 2pm and 8pm
