The 29th Annual Germantown Oktoberfest will be held on Saturday, Oct. 1, at Ridge Road Park (21155 Frederick Road) from 11 a.m.–dark. The 2011 Honorary Chair is Bill Robertson, President and CEO, Adventist Healthcare. The local Chair is area resident Monika Taylor.
This hometown, free festival welcomes thousands of visitors from across the capital region who come to enjoy a fun-filled day of live music and performances, delicious food, children’s games and inflatables, exhibits by local crafters, artists and businesses, roaming entertainers, caricaturists, and the ever popular Germantown Oktoberfest Biergarten — complete with traditional food and beverage, and a dance floor to show off waltz and polka skills! The event is capped off with a spectacular display of fireworks to end a perfect day!
