MWA chapter meetings are open to the public and are free to MWA members and first-time guests. Returning non-members will be asked to pay $5. Non-members wishing to join MWA may do so at meetings or here.
Jack B. Downs, MBA, CPA, and local author, will discuss writing as a business on Saturday, January 4, at the Montgomery County Chapter of the MWA. Jack will offer ten methods to reduce your tax liability or increase your deductions as a writer. He will also present keys to ensuring you are a business in the eyes of the Internal Revenue Service, and discuss changes that will affect writers for 2014 taxes.
MWA-M Meetings in a New Location!
Beginning with the January Chapter Meeting, MWA-Montgomery will now hold all chapter meetings at the The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Rockville. UUCR is located at 100 Welsh Park Drive in Rockville. (It's very close to where they used to meet on Montgomery College's Rockville Campus.) Lots of free parking!
