Grab your calendars! Here are this week's best bets for Germantown area families.

This week, live performances top the list of family-oriented fun in the Germantown area.  Choose from a wide range of shows, from science to magic to Sousa: 

TWILIGHT TOTS
Eric Energy makes learning science fun with lively, interactive performances.  Please note, the show may be cancelled due to inclement weather.

PICK-YOUR-OWN PEACHES
It's time for peach cobbler!  Pick your fill of fresh peaches at $1.49 per pound.  You can bring your own container or purchase one there.

This week, Ryan Buckle & Friends sing about science.  Arrive early to find a good space on the lawn and don't forget your blanket and sun block.  Concerts may be cancelled due to inclement weather.

TOY STORY 3
Enjoy this G-rated movie with your family; the show starts at dusk.  Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and a picnic basket.  Food is also available for purchase.  Call 301-258-6350 to check for cancellations in case of inclement weather.

NIH COMMUNITY ORCHESTRA POPS CONCERT
Listen to a family-friendly concert of classical music under the stars.  Selections from Carmen and the marches of John Philip Sousa are just some of the music planned during this two hour concert.

"WHAT IN THE WORLD!" MAGIC SHOW
The whole family will enjoy Mike Rose's humorous magic tricks during this adventure that spans the globe.  Free tickets to the show are first come, first served, so stop by the library and pick some up as soon as you can.

KIDS NIGHT
This week, enjoy a live animal show from Reptiles Alive!.  From 5 to 9 p.m., kids can eat free at a number of restaurants on the square.
