Grab and Go Kids Planner: July 6 - 12

Grab your calendars! Here are this week's best bets for Germantown-area families.

Summer is in full swing here in Germantown, which means live music and free performances. There are some great events for families in our area this week:

TWILIGHT TOTS
Kidsinger Jim comes to the RIO tonight with his "POSITIVE-ly Fun" concert for all ages. Please note, performances may be cancelled due to inclement weather.

This week, Pepito the Clown brings laughs to the concert stage. Grab your blanket and sun block and arrive early to get a good space on the lawn. Concerts may be cancelled due to inclement weather.

PASSPORT TO FUN EVENTS
This summer program from Michaels travels the globe via crafts.  These make-it, take-it events are designed for ages 3 and older. This week, explore the art and culture of Australia (Thursday), India (Saturday) and Russia (Tuesday).

Hot weather got you down? With the exception of the waterfall, the Splash Playground is open and ready for fun. One of the two miniature golf courses is operational; the other is undergoing repair. For more information, call 301-670-4680.

"WHAT IN THE WORLD!" MAGIC SHOW
The whole family will enjoy Mike Rose's humorous magic tricks during this adventure that spans the globe. No registration is required.

PRESCHOOL FILM FEST
Enjoy four to six short films based on popular children's picture books. This program is designed for children ages 2 to 6, attending with a caregiver. Siblings welcome. No registration necessary.

KIDS NIGHT
This week, enjoy performances by The Vaudeville Clown. From 5 to 9 p.m., a number of restaurants also offer special meal deals for families.
