Mark your calendar! Here's a summary of the week's best bets for Germantown families.

Spring break is just around the corner.  Do your kids have plans? Here are Germantown's best bets for families this week: 

• The Montgomery County Public School system is encouraging all high school students and their parents to attend.  Learn how to prepare for this event here.
Where: Montgomery County Agricultural Services in Gaithersburg
When: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today and 9:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 14 
Price: Free


Have your picture taken with the Easter bunny! Come for hugs and photos at the bunny's garden.  
Where: 
 Lakeforest Mall, near Sears
When: 
Daily through Saturday, April 23, during mall hours 
Price: Visit with bunny for free; cost of photos varies.

TIME FOR TWOS
This story time is designed specifically for children ages 24 months to 35 months. The library requests no siblings, please.
Where:

TEEN BOOK GIVEAWAY
Middle school and high school students, head to the teen librarian and get a free book in honor of National Library Week.  One book per person.

ANNUAL SPRINGTACULAR KIDS EVENT
Celebrate spring with stories, crafts and games the whole family can enjoy.  This event is best for kids ages 3 through 8.
Where:
Borders, Germantown
When:
2 p.m. Saturday, April 16 
Price: Free


Enjoy a tractor-driven hay ride down the Bunny Trail.  Hunt for Easter eggs, visit farm animals, bounce on the inflatables, slip down the giant slides, and more.
Where: 
Butler's Orchard
When:
  9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17. Also open April 21-23, April 25, April 30 and May 1.
Price: $6 for adults, $8 for children. Food and additional activities cost extra. 

KNACK MAKE-IT TAKE-IT EVENTS
On Saturday, kids ages 3 and older are invited to decorate a canvas tote for Earth Day.  On Sunday, teens 13 and older can create glitter body art.

 Michaels, in Milestone
When: 10 a.m. to noon 
Saturday, April 16, and 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 17
Price: Saturday's event, cost of tote; Sunday's event, free. 


Celebrate Arab American culture with arts & crafts, live music, dance, cultural exhibits and children's activities.  Please bring a donation of healthy, non-perishable food.

Activity Center at Bohrer Park in Gaithersburg

Noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 17 
Price: Free

SPRING BREAK BASKETBALL CAMP
A camp for girls and boys in grades four through 10.  Enjoy supervised games, arts and crafts, and more.   
Where: 
Montgomery Salvation Army, Aircraft Drive
When:
 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 18 through Friday, April 22, and Monday, April 25, during Montgomery County Public Schools' spring break.
Pricing: $115 per child.  Each child must bring a bag lunch and a drink in a non-glass container.  For registration information, call Hercules Twine Sr. at 240-645-2068, or drop by the Montgomery Salvation Army. 

FAMILY COSMIC BOUNCE NIGHT
Jump in the dark at this all-ages open bounce. Recommended for kids ages 6 and older. Call  301- 515-5665 for reservations.

Bounce U, Clarksburg
When:
 5 to 8 p.m.Tuesday, April 19  
Pricing: $10 per bouncer, without food and drinks; $13 for pizza, drinks and a glow-in-the-dark accessory.
