Grab & Go Kids Planner: March 30 - April 5

Mark your calendars! Here's a summary of the week's best bets for Germantown families.

Montgomery County Public Schools are out on Thursday, so don't forget to make plans!  Here are Germantown's best bets for families this week:

ALL DAY OPEN GYM AT ROMP N' ROLL
Where/When: Romp n' Roll, today from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Why Go: This is a great place for babies and toddlers to burn off excess energy.  (Romp n' Roll offers Open Gym daily during the week at various times; this Thursday, it runs from 1:30 to 3:45 p.m.) 
Pricing: $7 per child, free for members.  For children ages 3 months to 6 years.

FEARLESS ALLSTARS GYM
Where/When: Fearless AllStars in Gaithersburg, Thursday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Why Go:  Montgomery Public Schools are out on Thursday and everyone's going stir crazy, so bring the kids ages 5 and up for a day of tumble, cheer and trampoline.    
Pricing: $40 for the day, $50 includes lunch and snacks.  Siblings register for half-price, call 301-977-7007 to register.

Where/When: Seneca Valley High School, Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m.
Why Go:  Come and enjoy this lively musical which has been described as The Little Mermaid crossed with calypso and set in the Caribbean.
Pricing: $8 (presale), $10 (at the door).


Where/When: Northwest High School, Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
Why Go:  Does your child attend Northwest High School?  Parents, students and teachers are invited to come and discuss ways to bridge the achievement gap.  Students can earn SSL hours for attending.

KNACK EASTER CRAFTS
Where/When: Michael's in Milestone, Saturday and next Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.
Why Go:  Kids ages 3 and up are invited to decorate a on Saturday and make a on Tuesday. 
Pricing: $5 for Saturday's craft; Tuesday's craft is free.


Where/When: Seneca Valley High School, Saturday from 12:30 until 2:30 p.m.
Why Go:  Support Seneca Valley High School and snag a prom dress at the same time!  All dresses cost less than $50.  Anyone purchasing a dress will be eligible to win a free updo. 
Pricing: Free entrance to the sale.

DAUGHTER & DOLL TEA PARTY
Where/When: Kentlands Mansion in Gaithersburg, Sunday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Why Go:  Young ladies and their favorite dolls are invited to an afternoon of tea and fancy snacks in the elegant Kentlands Mansion.       
Pricing: $20 for adults, $15 for children ages 12 and under.  Reservations are required, call 301-258-6425 for details.


Where/When: Germantown Public Library, Tuesday from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m.
Why Go:  Your 12 to 24-month-old will enjoy a story time designed just for toddlers.  The library requests no siblings, please.      
Pricing: Free!

STEPPING STONES STORY TIME
Where/When: Damascus Public Library, Tuesday from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m.
Why Go:  Damascus Public Library is known for fun, interactive story times.  This event is for newborns through age 5 and their parents or caregivers; children ages 3 to 5 may attend by themselves.  For more information, call 240-773-9444.  
Pricing: Free!

And here's a bonus event for Wednesday, April 6:

LITTLE TOTS WINTER FUN
Where/When: Washingtonian Center in Gaithersburg, RIO Center's lower level atrium, Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.
Why Go:  This is the last Little Tots event for the winter fun session.  Come & watch the Carousel Puppets perform Spring Fling.
