Family Block Party is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27.

On Saturday, there will plenty of ways to creatively wish Germantown’s primary arts venue happy birthday.

In celebration of its 10 year anniversary,  has planned a free family block party from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the theater announced.

There should be much to see and hear — a roving entertainer, giveaways, and of course a round of the birthday song before the day ends. There will also be plenty to do. Kids can make crafts and décor for BlackRock’s outdoor stage. Parents can purchase artwork, meet instructors and preview the classes offered at BlackRock.
