Jerusalem-born Mia Pomerantz and husband Jorge Amaral are winning international acclaim for their performances of “masterful and poetic virtuosity, intensity of expression” (Il Messaggero Veneto). Pomerantz is a top prizewinner of several international guitar competitions, notably the Guitar Gems Competition in Netanya, Israel and The Fernando Sor Guitar Competition in Rome, Italy. Amaral has been described by the eminent master Alirio Diaz as “a brilliant figure in the future of the classical guitar.”
