Come see how people lived on a 1850s Maryland farm. Enjoy hands-on history activities, walking tours, music, games, refreshments and fun. Celebrate Maryland Emancipation Day commemorating the 1864 date when slaves were freed in Maryland. Good for all ages.

Enjoy our walking tours featuring Underground Railroad Sculpture by Sarah Stout, Button Farm House, Museum & CSA Gardens, Civil War-era Barn, and "Slave" Cemetery. History Displays & Artifacts, 19th Century Games for Kids & Cider Press will be featured plus these special activities sponsored by Concerts in the Country and the Montgomery Countryside Alliance.

Clarence Hickey, historical re-enactor, portrays 19th century Rockville physician Dr. Edward E. Stonestreet who practiced medicine for 51 years (1852-1903) and was a Civil War Surgeon with the U. S. Army. Learn about the doctor's life and times, medical education, practice, and Civil War service; 19th century medicine; and Civil War medicine and its effects on civilian medical practice.
