Friday: 'Brave' Vocalist, Scotch-Tasting at BlackRock
In the spirit of authenticity, BlackRock Center for the Arts is hosting a scotch-tasting ahead of Gaelic folk singer Julie Fowlis’s performance Friday.
Fowlis is best known to U.S audiences as the singing voice of Merida in the Disney animated film, “Brave.” She’s giving concerts at the Germantown arts venue Friday and Saturday as part of her 2013 fall tour in the US, according to her website.
But those willing to pay a little extra Friday, can sample traditional Scotches and whiskies—high-end single cask, single malt spirits culled by whisky expert Richard Crawford. A ticket for the show and tasting costs $65.
