Get Out: Patch's Pick-and-Choose Weekend Planner

If you need help getting your weekend going, look no further.

The National Weather Service is predicting a decent chance of thunderstorms on both Saturday and Sunday, but between your trusty umbrella and Patch's Get Out Guide, you'll be covered this weekend.

Toss out any idea of crashing on the couch with that backlog of Netflix movies you still need to get around to. We're not going to let those pesky meteorologists rain on our (Easter) parade.

2.

Where/When: , 22200 Davis Mill Rd, Germantown. Open every Saturday and Sunday in April (except Easter) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Go: We're including this in our Get Out Guide one more time because, let's face it, Bunnyland only comes around once a year. This is going to be a kids "eggstravaganza" but there's reason for adults to come out, too, if the weather is nice. There will be hayrides, live chicks and bunnies (omg! you've got to be kidding me! how cute!), and a rubber ducky derby. Food will also be available for sale. At Butler's Orchard, the Easter Bunny's come early.

Pricing: Tickets are $8 for children and $6 for adults. (See, there's even an adult "discount"!)

3.

Where/When: , 506 S. Frederick Ave., Gaithersburg. Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.

Why Go: According to the event listing, "Paws in the Park is fun for the entire family, featuring pet games, demos, a “flealess” market for pet-friendly vendors, food, music, prizes, raffles, rescue groups and more! Check out last year’s event. Great prizes are awarded to the top online fundraisers."

Pricing: Tickets are $20 for individuals and $35 for families.

4.

Where/When: , 10701 Rockville Pike, North Bethesda. Friday, 8 p.m.

Why Go: When Nancy Wilson performed at Strathmore last May, the concert sold out. You won't want to miss the Grammy Award-winning artist this go-round. The event will also include a display of some of her famous gowns, which will be donated to the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History at the end of the performance.

Pricing: Tickets range in price from $28 to $78.

5. Disneynature's "African Cats"

Where/When: Movie theaters and showtimes vary. Visit the movie's website to find the location nearest your home.

Why Go: This feature film will enjoy a limited engagement at select theaters during Earth Day, starting on Friday. The movie is narrated by Samuel L. Jackson and follows a family of African cats as the "majestic kings of the savanna." Disney has also pledged to donate 20 cents from each ticket sale during opening week to the African Wildlife Foundation, and have guaranteed a minimum donation of $100,000.

Pricing: Movie tickets vary depending on the venue and showtime.
