Who’s Going to See O’Malley’s March?

Band fronted by Maryland's governor will perform Saturday at BlackRock Center for the Arts.

This weekend, Maryland’s governor is leaving politics behind for a charity concert at BlackRock Center for the Arts.

Gov. Martin O’Malley’s Celtic rock band O’Malley’s March will perform at the Germantown arts venue Saturday night.

Revenues from the $50 and $150 ticket sales will support BlackRock’s arts education programs and performances, BlackRock announced last month.

The concert is an outgrowth of BlackRock’s Krista Bradley’s chance meeting with O’Malley at the County Executive Ball last year.

When reached late last week, a BlackRock spokeswoman said there were plenty of tickets left.
