Tired of Grocery Shopping? Germantown Giant Offers Pick-Up Service

Giant shoppers can now order their groceries online, drive up to the door and pick up their order as if it were a Domino's or Pizza Hut order. Two Giant locations in the Germantown area are now a part of the Pick-Up Program.

According to a recent news release from Giant Food in partnership with its sister company Peapod launched the pick-up services in several locations in northern Virginia and Maryland. Peapod and Giant Food have opened 20 pick up services at various locations since April.

“We’re very excited to be working with our sister grocer Peapod so closely to execute ourGiant Pick-up program – an excellent convenience for customers in the Mid-Atlantic region,” said Giant Food President Anthony Hucker in a prepared statement. “Our hybrid fuel station, paired with the ability to pick up groceries is offering our customers an even deeper level of convenience.”

There are no fees or minimum purchase to use Giant's Pick-Up Program. Consumers can choose a one-hour pick up time from morning to evening. Shoppers can also create personal lists, read nutrition information and quickly sort through products by price online.

Shoppers can now order groceries online with Peapod and pick them up at the following locations:
