Target Lamp Recalled Due to Fire Hazard

The lamp has shocked consumers and caused six minor fires.

A Target lamp has been recalled after manufacturers report that there is a fire and shock hazard.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Target received six reports of short circuiting, which resulted in fires and minor property damage for the white Threshold 2-bulb floor lamp -- model number PL1071. Two consumers also reported being shocked.

CPSC said consumers should unplug the lamp, and return it to any Target store for a full refund.
