Family awarded $2 million in wrongful death lawsuit

A couple was reportedly run over by a dump truck during the construction of West Germantown Fire Station in 2008.

A man who survived after his wife was killed by a dump truck in Germantown was awarded more than $2 million from a Montgomery County jury, the Gazette reported Tuesday.

Yunshu Li  and her husband Xiufeng Wang were reportedly run over by a dump truck that was backing up during the construction of the Germantown/Kingsview Fire Station No. 22 in 2008, according to the Gazette.

Li died at the scene.

According to records from Montgomery County Circuit Court, the family filed a lawsuit for personal injury and wrongful death against Milestone Construction Services of Sterling, Va., and Hakes Contracting, of Germantown. 

Li is survived by a son and five daughters, the Gazette reported.
