Germantown-Based Credit Union Sends 381 Rubber Ducks to Sandy Hook

Mid-Atlantic Federal Credit Union employees were inspired by a Connecticut police officer's efforts to use the ducks to spread cheer.

On Thursday, it was operation rubber ducky at Mid-Atlantic Federal Credit Union.

The Germantown-based credit union shipped 381 rubber ducks to Shandy Hook Schools, inspired by a Connecticut police officer’s effort to share rubber ducks with the students as a way to spread cheer.

The credit union already had its own rubber duck tradition, giving them to employees who went above and beyond everyday tasks.
