A townhouse fire in Germantown on Saturday left a family homeless and two pet dogs dead, a Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman told Patch.
The cause of the fire was listed as “undetermined,” spokeswoman Beth Anne Nesselt said. No others were injured.
At around 3 p.m. Saturday, firefighters were dispatched to the 19300 block of Elderberry Terrace to find all three levels of the townhome engulfed in flames. The damage was estimated at $200,000.
Nesselt said Red Cross was assisting the family.
