Germantown Woman is One of the ‘Worst Cooks in America’

Rasheeda Brown will appear on season 4 of Food Network's "Worst Cooks in America," premiering Sunday night.

Rasheeda Brown’s Food Network bio says it all: “She’s notorious for either severely overcooking or undercooking food and even manages to burn frozen pizza in the microwave.”

But each failure has its hidden reward. For Brown, culinary ineptness made her a prime candidate for Season 4 of the Food Network’s “Worst Cooks in America.”

The season premieres 7 p.m. Sunday on the Food Network.

Under the tutelage of chefs Anne Burrell and Bobby Flay, Brown and 13 of her kitchen-maladroit brethren will transform into “fearless culinary masters.”

The contestants hope to flambé their way to the $25,000 grand prize and the title of being the best—of the worst.

Brown, a Prince George's County native who lives in Germantown, chatted with The Gazette about what it was like being on the show and recounted some of her culinary failures and successes.

“Anything outside of a microwave, I was pretty clueless,” Brown, 30, told the newspaper.
