Metro is extending the shifts of bus operators to extend rush hour service.
From the Maryland Transit Administration, as of 4 p.m.
Trains are preparing to depart Union Station. Train 873 (3:35pm departure to Brunswick) has left Union Station and Penn Line Train 426 (3:25pm departure) is about to leave. There will be significant en route delays to trains due to operating at greatly reduced speeds.
We anticipate significant overcrowding at Union Station today. Please note that boarding for each train will be stopped when trains reach a safe capacity. We ask for your patience this afternoon and please follow directions and instructions provided by Amtrak and MARC station personel.
Further updates will be provided as information becomes available.
