July Fourth Celebration Sparkles in Germantown

Germantown Glory is Monday at the SoccerPlex. The event will feature music by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and a night of fireworks.

Montgomery County's Germantown Glory is back for another night of July Fourth fireworks, music and family activities.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. Monday at the SoccerPlex in South Germantown Recreational Park. BlackRock Center for the Arts will host children's activities, and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra will perform patriotic songs in a salute to America at 8 p.m.

Judy Stiles, county recreation department spokeswoman, said the department is expecting 20,000 people for the event. The estimate is based on attendance from previous concerts featuring the orchestra.
