Germantown Man Charged With Sexual Assault After Armed Home Invasion
Perry Eugene Lee, 21, of the 13000 block of Ansel Terrace, is accused of breaking into a home in Frederick, MD, and sexually assaulting a resident, according to a press release issued by Frederick police. Lee was arrested in connection with reports of a disturbance—a group of males arguing, one with a gun in his waistband. Read the full story here.

Police Make Arrest in Armed Robberies of Gaithersburg, Germantown Subway Restaurants
Timothy Luke Howell, 24, of no fixed address, was charged with armed robbery stemming from five robberies of Subway restaurants dating back to November. Montgomery County Police said a 19-year-old man may have also been involved. Read the full story here.

Germantown Math Professor Awarded Proclamation From Council
Montgomery County Council on Tuesday presented John Hamman, chairman of the math department at Montgomery College’s Germantown campus, with a proclamation. Hamman was named 2012 Maryland Professor of the Year from the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
