Update: Runaway Egyptian Street Dog Seen Near Dulles

Germantown couple's runaway dog was spotted by an airport employee Thursday night.

On Thursday, Patch and several other news outlets picked up the story about Ralph: a dog that after being rescued from the streets of Egypt and flown to Dulles Airport, got spooked by a loud noise and ran away from his would-be owner when they got to the parking lot.

Since the story appeared, there have been at least two Ralph sightings, according to Dave Scott, the Germantown resident who had hoped to bring the animal home. In an email to Patch on Friday, Scott wrote:

"Update, last night Ralph was spotted at Dulles Airport by an employee around 11pm. We searched for about an hour, but could not find him. He was then reported to be seen near the Greenway (near Dulles), but he could not be caught. We are searching with a few friends tomorrow morning, and also working with a local tracker and the animal shelter to set up a trap to help catch him."
