Astronomy in Black Hill Regional Park

Join our naturalist Jim Cook and
other astronomy enthusiasts for an evening of stargazing. We’ll supply the
telescopes and expertise on what’s happening in the night sky. We’ll start off inside
with a preview of the night sky, then head outside for some stargazing. On this
44th anniversary of the launch of Apollo 11, we’ll tour the moon and maybe even
to try to spot where the astronauts landed. We’ll also view Saturn with its
amazing rings, and brilliant Venus; and tour the summer stars and
constellations. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and
your curiosity about the heavens above. In the event of overcast skies, a video
will be shown.   301-528-3492, www.blackhillnature.org.
