Many of the state's largest chain stores have extended Christmas shopping hours, with some open around-the-clock. Here's a rundown, with links to retailers' websites for last-minute specials.

Toys 'R' Us

• Open around-the-clock now through 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve; closed on Wednesday. Many stores open at 8 a.m. Thursday to 10 p.m.; open at 9 a.m. on Friday until 10 p.m.; resuming normal hours on Saturday.

Best Buy

• Open until midnight Monday; opening at 7 a.m. on Christmas Eve, closing at 6 p.m. Closed on Christmas. And the store will be open extra hours after the holiday to handle returns and exchanges. Stores will be open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

• Most Maryland stores are open until 10 p.m. Monday; most stores opening at 7 a.m. on Christmas Eve; will close at 10 p.m. Tuesday. Closed on Christmas. Stores opening at 8 a.m. Thursday through the weekend for returns, shoppers and exchanges.
