Report: 392-Unit Development Approved for Clarksburg

A new community called Glenkirk Farms could be coming to Clarksburg in about a year, The Gazette reports.
The Montgomery County Planning Board approved preliminary and site plans for the 392-unit site on Shawnee Lane. According to Planning Board records, the community would have 18 dethatched single-family homes, 190 townhomes and 184 multifamily units.
As part of the approval, the developer Duffie Cos. will have to build two of the four-lane extension of Observation Drive, The Gazette reports.

According to records submitted to county planners, the community will have a clubhouse, play areas and two swimming pools.
