Pet of the Week: Beamer

Featured animals are examples of the variety available at the Montgomery County Humane Society shelter and may not be available as of publication date.

Name: Beamer, a 7-month-old male pit bull mix, tan with black muzzle
Tag: 261
ID: A353810

What a cute, friendly guy!

Beamer’s evaluation shows him to be amiable, high energy, outgoing, people-centered, playful, and willing to work. He’s calm, relaxed and friendly toward other dogs in the kennel. Beamer’s got a big heart!  He is a lovable boy looking for a family/owner who’s committed to help him learn basic manners and tricks thru positive reinforcement training.  A super-fast learner, he loves to be petted and he enjoys walks. He would be a fun dog to do agility training with, and he’d be a good cuddle-companion, too.

He is somewhat excited and eager on the leash. One-on-one, he solicits attention in a calm and friendly manner.  Beamer displays a nice level of play and trains quickly using a clicker and treats. Due to his activity level and size, we recommended that he not be placed in a home with children younger than age 8.
