Germantown Walmart
BEWARE!! On March 31st, my mother in law purchased $68 worth of candy and games for her 5th grade classroom. Before leaving the store, a man stood in front of her cart and noticed a bag of hershey kisses in the bottom of the cart, which she did not see because her bags were in the seat of the cart, blocking her view. He asked if the candy was hers and she apologetically explained the candy was overlooked in the cashier's line. Before she could return to the line to pay for the candy, the man said she would have to come with him to the back. In the back room, she was accused of shoplifting and bullied into giving her personal information (driver's license and social security number) through threat of legal action. She was given a letter from Walmart's "Asset Protection Recovery" which speaks of civil damages and penalties she will be responsible for. We will obviously never be going to a Walmart again and I urge you all to beware of this absurd and appalling practice.
