Armed Robbery Suspects Found Through iPhone

Five Germantown youths have been charged with robbery, assault and theft.

Montgomery County Police found five youths suspected of beating and robbing another juvenile in Germantown through the iPhone they allegedly stole.

Now, the youths — a 14-year-old, two 13-year-olds, a 16-year-old and a 10-year-old — have been charged with robbery, assault and theft, stemming from an armed robbery reported 6:05 p.m. July 25, in the 12500 block of Willow Springs Court in Germantown.

According to police, another juvenile was reportedly inside his house when he saw three teen boys on his porch. A fight broke when the youths were asked to leave, police allege.

The three teens walked away, but reportedly returned with two more people — the 10-year-old and the 16-year-old.

Police allege that during the fight, the 16-year-old hit the young resident with a baseball bat and reportedly pulled a BB gun from his waist and pointed it him.  The 14-year-old reportedly took the youth’s iPhone while he was on the ground.
