Cause of Sunday evening collision is under investigation, according to Montgomery County Police.

A child passenger suffered serious injuries after a vehicle struck a pole at Middlebrook Road and Interstate 270 on Sunday evening.

Montgomery County Police and rescuers dispatched to the scene at around 6:40 p.m. found an adult female and a child injured in the single-vehicle crash, according to Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service Cpt. Oscar Garcia.

The adult female was also taken to the hospital, Garcia said.

Further information, such as the age and the gender or the age of the child, was unavailable Monday morning.
