CRIME REPORT | 18-year-old Charged with First-Degree Assault

The following information is from incident summary reports provided by the Montgomery County Police Department.

An 18-year-old Gaithersburg woman was charged with first-degree assault an incident at Seneca Valley High School at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday, April 26. Tarieke Grant, 18, of the 100 block of Sunny Brook Terrace, Gaithersburg, was arrested on charges of threatening a person with a weapon, according to police.

Montgomery County Police are looking for three male suspects involved in a strong-arm robbery in the 20000 block of Sweetgum Circle in Germantown at 10:45 p.m. Sunday, May 1. Police said the adult male victim was assaulted and had his property taken.

  • Police arrested a 19-year-old woman following an aggravated assault in the the 18200 block of Kitchen House Way in Germantown on Tuesday, April 26, at around 9 p.m.
  • A house burglary was reported in the 19500 block of Gunners Branch Road in Germantown on Tuesday, May 3, between 8 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. 
  • An attempted house burglary was reported in the hundred block of Finegan Court in Germantown, on Tuesday, May 3, between 3:10 and 3:20 p.m. Nothing was taken, police said.
  •  A house burglary was reported in the 11500 block of Brundidge Terrace in Germantown on Sunday, May 1, between 1 a.m. and 3:06 p.m. Police said it was unknown if any thing were taken.
  • There were reports of eight thefts from vehicles during the early morning hours of Sunday, May 1, in the Gunners Lake Community. In six of the events, entry was made by force; the doors were unlocked in two other incidents. Property taken included: GPS units, stereos and money. The streets targeted were Britannia Court, Coral Grove Terrace and Forest Brook Road in Germantown. 
  • A house burglary was reported in the 18700 block of Caledonia Court in Germantown, overnight between Saturday, April 30, and Sunday, May 1.
  • A house burglary was reported in the 13500 block of Shearwater Place in Germantown, on Friday, April 29, between 8:30 and 11:25 p.m.  Police said nothing was taken.
  • A house burglary was reported in the 19800 block of Madrigal Drive in Germantown on Wednesday, April 27, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
