Crime Summary: Armed Robbery Reported at Bus Stop

The following arrest information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Police said five males were suspected in a strong-arm robbery reported at the intersection of Crystal Rock Terrace and Crystal Rock Drive at 9:50 p.m. Saturday, July 7. A police spokeswoman said the suspects robbed the victim at knifepoint at a bus stop. One of the suspects was described as between 5’11” and 6’ tall at 190 to 200 pounds. Patch was unable to provide a further description for the other suspects.

A 49-year-old Germantown man was arrested on aggravated assault charges following an alleged incident reported in the 19300 block of Circle Gate Drive at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 3.

Police are looking for a suspect in an armed robbery in which a person reported being robbed at knifepoint at a bus stop in the 19500 block of Frederick Road at 12:55 a.m. Wednesday, June 27. Police described the suspect as between 25 to 30-years-old, and 5’8” tall.

A 31-year-old Germantown man was arrested on sex offense charges stemming from an alleged incident reported in the 19500 block of Frederick Road at 1 a.m. Thursday, July 5. Police said the suspect exposed himself and inappropriately touched the victim.

Police said an alleged aggravated assault stemmed from a dispute between a bus driver and a man who displayed a gun. The alleged incident was reported at the intersection of Frederick Road and Gunners Branch Road at 9 p.m. Saturday, July 7. The suspect was described as a 20 to 33-year-old male, 6’1” between 160 to 170 pounds.

  • A residential burglary was reported in the 17100 block of Butler Road, Poolesville on Friday July 6, between 6:30 and 10:30 p.m. 
  • A burglary was reported at Selby’s at 19610 Fisher Avenue, Poolesville overnight between Sunday, July 1 and Monday, July 2.
  • A residential burglary was reported in the 19700 block of Wooton Avenue, Poolesville on Tuesday, June 26, between noon and 5:55 p.m.
  • A residential burglary was reported in the 19300 block of Moon Ridge Drive, Germantown on Thursday, June 28 between 8 a.m. and 6:45 p.m.
  • A burglary was reported at the Liberty Gas Station at 26241 Ridge Road, Mt. Airy on Sunday, July 8 between 12:30 and 7:29 a.m. 
  • An attempted residential burglary was reported in the 21100 block of Archstone Way, Germantown on Monday, July 9 at 5:55 a.m. 
  • A residential burglary was reported in the 21100 block of Futura Court, Germantown overnight between Sunday, July 8 and Monday, July 9.
