Police are investigating an inmate stabbing reported at Montgomery County Correctional Facility in Clarksburg on Wednesday, July 6. Police allege that a person in custody used an improvised weapon to stab another inmate.
A 15-year-old boy from Germantown was arrested following an aggravated assault reported at Quince Orchard High School at 11 a.m. Monday, July 11.
Three men were arrested following a rash of home burglaries reported in Germantown, Damascus and Clarksburg on Thursday, July 7. Police arrested a 19-year-old from Silver Spring, and 20-year-old and a 19-year-old from Olney on charges of burglarizing the following residences:

- 20600 block of Farcroft Lane in Damascus, between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- 21000 block of Cog Wheel Way in Germantown, between 9:15 and 11 a.m.
- 12400 block of Deoudes Road in Clarksburg, between 10 and 11:40 a.m.
Police are investigating a sex-offense was reported in the 20000 block of Frederick Road in Germantown on Sunday, July 10.

A strong-arm robbery was reported at Warrior Brook Drive and Hopkins Drive in Germantown at 8:50 a.m. Saturday, July 9.
A weapons offense was reported in the 22800 block of Shiloh Church Road in Boyds on Saturday, July 9, at 12:12 p.m. Officers responded to the residence for a person shooting a firearm. A 47-year-old man from Boyds was arrested at the scene.
A burglary from a home garage was reported in the 11400 block of Brook Run Drive in Germantown on Thursday, July 7. Police said the suspect entered the open garage and removed property.
A weapons offense was reported in the 24900 block of Burnt Hill Road in Germantown on Wednesday, July 6 at 5:30 p.m., after someone discovered a bullet hole.
