Crime Summary: Four Armed-Robbery Suspects Sought

The following arrest information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Police arrested a 22-year-old man from Lanham and a 22-year-old man from Hyattsville following reports of an attempted vehicle theft at Pinnacle Drive and Germantown Road in Germantown at 11:45 p.m. Thursday, April 5.

Four suspects are sought in an armed robbery reported in the 18000 block of Cottage Garden Drive in Germantown at 12:15 a.m. Monday, April 2. Two of the suspects were described as 14- to 16-year-olds, at 5’8” tall and between 120 and weighing 180 pounds. No further description was available for the other two male suspects.

A burglary was reported at Optimal Learning at Captain Daly Elementary School, 20301 Brandermill Drive in Germantown, overnight between Saturday, April 7, and Sunday, April 8.  Police said there were signs of forced entry but it was unknown whether anything was taken.

A sex offense was reported at Montgomery College, 20200 Observation Drive in Germantown, at 8 a.m. Friday, April 6.  The suspect inappropriately touched the alleged victim, whom police said knew the suspect.

Three vehicle break-ins were reported at the following repair shops overnight between, Friday, April 6, and Saturday, April 7:

  • Bobby’s Garage, 9913 Lewis Drive, Damascus. A cell phone charger was reported missing. 
  • Two vehicles at B&V Automotive Repair and Performance 9871 Main St.,Damascus.  No property was reported missing from either vehicle. 

There were three thefts from vehicles in the Gunners Lake Community in Germantown overnight between Saturday, April 7, and Sunday, April 8.  Police said the cars’ doors were unlocked. 

  • 12300 block of Stoney Bottom Road – Clothing taken. 
  • 12400 block of Sky Blue Drive – Jewelry taken. 
  • 12600 block of Grey Eagle Court – Backpack, checkbook and camera taken. 

A residential burglary was reported in the 23800 block of Burdette Forest Road in Clarksburg on Wednesday, April 4, between 6:30 and 10:30 a.m. 

A residential burglary was reported in the 12100 block of Cypress Spring Road in Clarksburg, overnight between Friday, April 6, and Sunday, April 8. 

A residential burglary was reported in the 12200 block of Peachcrest Drive in Germantown on Monday, April 2, between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. 

A residential burglary was reported in the 19600 block of Crystal Rock Drive in Germantown 9:30 a.m. Sunday, April 8. Police said the suspect is known to the alleged victim. 

A residential burglary was reported in the 18800 block of Lake Placid Lane in Germantown on Friday, April 6 at 2:15 a.m.  No forced entry; property taken.
