Crime Summary: Germantown Woman Charged in Lakeforest Mall Assault

The following arrest information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Germantown woman was charged with assault and disorderly conduct following an incident at Lakeforest Mall in Gaithersburg at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, March 3.  Lourdes G. Read, 31, of the 11400 block of Herefordshire Way, is accused of assaulting a police officer and a security guard, according to court documents.

For male youths are suspected in a strong-arm robbery reported in the 12900 block of Middlebrook Road in Germantown at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29. The suspects assaulted the alleged victims and obtained property. The suspects were between 16 and 18 years old, and were between 6”and 6’2” tall.

An attempted strong-arm robbery was reported in the 19500 block of Scenery Drive in Germantown at 9 p.m. Sunday, March 4.  According to police, three males and one woman assaulted the alleged victim and attempted to obtain property. Police provided the following description:

  •             Suspects 1 and 2: males, 20 to 30 years old, 5’8”-6”, 150-190 pounds, dreadlocks
  •             Suspect 3: 20- to 30-year-old male
  •             Suspect #4: female, no further description available

A residential burglary was reported in the 19100 block of Wheatfield Drive in Germantown at 1:50 p.m.  Sunday, March 4. Police said a male suspect obtained property from the alleged victim’s vehicle, which was parked in the garage.

Two thefts from vehicles within the Waters Landing Community in Germantown were reported on Sunday, March 4.  Police said the vehicles’ doors were unlocked. unlocked door. Missing items included:

  • Laptop taken from a vehicle in the 13500 block of Clear Morning Place 
  • Metro card taken from a vehicle in the 13300 block of Neerwinder Place

A residential burglary was reported in the 18300 block of Timko Lane in Germantown on Friday, March 2, between 11:30 a.m. and 12:11 p.m.

A residential burglary was reported in the 19900 block of Spurrier Avenue in Poolesville at 5:30 p.m Saturday, March 3.
